Bio
Originally from Wisconsin, Mari has called Chicago home for many years. Mari earned her business degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and is a licensed CPA. After starting her career in public accounting, she quickly pivoted to follow her passion for healthy food and mission-driven work. Most recently, she has held finance and general management roles at Farmer’s Fridge, where she focuses on expanding access to better-for-you food through scalable, supply chain-driven systems.
Mari is passionate about food access and supporting programs that make it easier for people to eat well. She was drawn to Green City Market for its mission to expand access to fresh food while supporting local farmers and promoting environmental sustainability. She’s excited to support GCM’s impact.
In her spare time, Mari enjoys hiking along the lakefront, exploring new restaurants, traveling, and chasing down the perfect burger in Chicago.
